What we do to protect you...
Our office uses the Triangle Sterilization Center
The Triangle Sterilization Center is designed to streamline the sterilization process. All of the instruments used during your dental procedures are placed in the Ultrasonic cleaner at the "red" end of the sterilization center. The ultrasonic cleaner mechanically and chemically removes debris, and microorganisms initializing the sterilization process. Once the ultrasonic cleansing has taken place any plastic type instruments are then placed in a cold sterilization bath while all other instruments and handpieces are put through the heat and steam sterilization process in the STATIM Sterilization Unit at the "blue" end of the sterilization center.
Oral Cancer Screenings
Our office performs Oral Cancer Screenings during each professional dental continuing care visit.
30,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer this year. It will cause over 8,000 deaths, killing one person per hour, 24 hours per day. - These are facts from the Oral Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute and the American Dental Association.
It is our hope to NEVER lose a patient to Oral Cancer.

Our office also offers Velscope screenings, the newest in Oral Cancer detection.
Most people are surprised to learn that oral cancer is the sixth deadliest cancer in America, taking more lives per year than cancers thought far more lethal-melanoma, Hodgkin's disease or cervical cancer. That's why the American Dental Association has made oral cancer a top priority.
Oral cancer is far too often discovered in late stage development, the primary reason for the high death rate. Even when caught while still curable, oral cancer can have potentially disfiguring effects on patients, seriously compromising their quality of life. Early diagnosis can make a large difference in life expectancy; oral cancer is 90% curable when found early. Unfortunately, 70% of oral cancers are diagnosed in the late stages, and 52% of those diagnosed will die within five years.
Fortunately, our office utilizes a new tool to help in your fight against oral cancer. The Velscope unit aid in the early detection of unseen abnormalities that can progress to cancer.

At our office, we use clinical laboratory services from OralDNA LabsTM to ensure we are giving our patients the best oral health information possible. OralDNA LabsTM is a specialty diagnostics company designed to provide reliable, definitive and cost effective clinical tests that guide oral health professionals in detecting and prognosing disease at an earlier, more treatable stage.
Medical Emergencies
Just in case it is ever needed our office has a Automatic Electronic Defibrillator Unit, complete First Aid Kit, Oxygen and our Staff is CPR trained.
